Lake Garda
Lake Garda (in Italian, Lago di Garda or Benaco) is the largest lake in Italy, with a maximum length of 51.9 kilometers and a total surface of 370 square kilometers. 
The lake is located in North Italy and it is surrounded by numerous towns and resorts belonging to the provinces of Brescia, Verona and Trento.
The landscape around Lake Garda is astonishing. The north part of the lake is a valley between the Italian Alps and the southern part is dominated by the Plain of Padana.
The place has a rich history, which is proven by the abundance of medieval settlements around the lake.
