This private museum was founded in 1973 by Professor Luigi Galanti. Galanti aimed at making a historical profile of the Battle of Rivoli (14th-15th of January, 1797), won by General Napoleon Bonaparte, against the Austrian army.

The museum displays old documents and important manuscripts, trying to provide a coherent picture of this famous battle which resulted in the signing of the Treaty of Tolentino.
